Students and staff had a wonderful experience on Tuesday, with Amy Elakman from Talking Books Library. She brought hardcover books for us to take an create an incredible flower vase out of the pages inside.
Each of us received a tray to hold pins, beads, and wire to create at type of bookmark that hung inside. We first had to tear pages in the book’s center, leaving half pages, then rolled each page tightly to the binding. Next Amy had us stand the book up and carefully place inside each rolled page, flowers, leaves, sticks and more. They came out fantastic! Thank you, Amy, for your beautiful project for us!
