OUR WHITE CANE AWARENESS DAY EVENT ON MONDAY, 10/16/23 WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the annual White Cane Awareness Day celebration at our Center! Mayor/Commissioner Gregg Weiss of Palm Beach County (District 2) joined us with Commissioner Mack Bernard, Niels Heimeriks (Senior Admin Assist for Mayor Weiss), and Virginia Savietto (Admin Assist to Mayor Weiss), and our Board of Directors President, Frank Seidman. Plus, the wonderful Palm Springs Police Department turned out to protect us as we walked the streets. The day was to remind the public of the laws in effect to protect the blind and visually impaired pedestrians. After, we enjoyed lunch and a raffle at the Center for our students. What a great day!!
