Arthur is having fun mastering some home skills in his Independent Living class, like cleaning, cooking, and much more. Luz Norris, FOCB’s IL teacher, helps Arthur and many students learn how to be more independent and break away from having family or friends take care of everything. The more you learn…the more you grow as a person! Visual impairments cannot stop you!
Luz can also teach you Braille. Independent living classes include using all of your home appliances in the kitchen and around the home, managing money and your medications, how to do laundry, cook, clean and everything and anything to help you be more independent!
